BatteryShip Return Policy & Instructions

Although we strive to offer you the best product, price, and service we recognize that sometimes you will need to return your product to us. We have made our return policy as simple as possible so that resolving your return claim can be quick and easy (specifically marked products excluded). All we ask is that you read our returns procedures and rules and follow them throughout your entire return process.

BatteryShip has two types of returns. Please click the return type you wish to process below to continue:

  1. 30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee;
  2. Product Exchange (defective products and wrong orders only)

30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Refund

Your satisfaction is important to us and to that end Batteryship offers you a 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period beginning from your original order date on all your purchases with us (specifically marked products excluded; applies to unopened merchandise only). If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase with us simply return your unopened order/product to us by following the steps below within 30 days of your order date for a full refund (less a 15% restocking fee and less any/all shipping fees; specifically marked products excluded). To claim your 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund please read and comply with the following instructions.

STEP 1 - GET A RMA # FOR MONEY BACK: You must request a return merchandise authorization number (RMA #) before sending your order/product to us in order to receive a refund for your return. If you do not get a RMA# prior to sending us your order/product to us then we will not process your return or refund your money. To get a RMA # for money back (i.e. to request a return), click here.

Important : The 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period begins on your original purchase date and ends 30 days from the original purchase date. This means that we will accept your return for refund only if your return is postmarked/shipped within 30 days from your original purchase date. All order return claims that have expired will be denied a refund whether or not you have obtained an RMA #. Expired means to be 31 or more days from your original order date.

STEP 2 - SEND THE BATTERY TO US: Once you receive your RMA#, you may send the product back to us. IMPORTANT: YOUR RETURN/RMA# SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED AND PROCESSED BY BATTERYSHIP IF ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:

  • The 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period date has not expired (expired means to be 31 or more days from your original order date). NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Your returned product must be postmarked/shipped within 30 days from the date of your original order with us. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Order/Product must be in the original condition that you received it. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Product must be returned with all original packaging still intact, not torn and not tampered with (batteries that have been opened, original battery bubble wrap torn or battery bubble wrap seal/disclaimer tampered with, will NOT be accepted for money back or exchange for a different battery type since we cannot restock opened or used batteries). Battery and all originally shipped tools must be fully wrapped in the original unpopped bubble wrap. Battery must be bubble wrapped separately from tools, AND it must be within the box we originally shipped to you). NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • No defective products, if any, will be permitted to be returned under our 30 Day Money back guarantee. Click here if you are trying to exchange a defective product.
  • You must ship the item to the following address using a commercial carrier (US Postal Service, UPS, Fedex, or DHL):

  • All non-defective merchandise returned within the first 30 days of the original order date will be charged a restocking fee equal to 15% of the purchase price of the product. The restock fees do not apply to product exchanges. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Original shipping, handling, and return postage charges shall not be refunded. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • BatteryShip must certify that you have complied with and completed the above requirements. NO EXCEPTIONS.

STEP 3 - REFUNDS: Once you have successfully complete steps 1 and 2, Batteryship will issue a refund back (less a mandatory 15% restocking fee and less any/all shipping fees) to the same credit/debit card you used at the time of purchase with us. Refunds to your credit/debit card can be completed within 3 business days of receiving your returned battery. Once we process the refund to your credit/debit card, we will email you confirmation at the email address you used when you ordered.

Product Exchange
(defective products and wrong orders only)

Your satisfaction is important to us and to that end Batteryship offers exchanges in the case that the product is defective or you placed the wrong order (wrong order exchanges shall only be accepted during the first 30 days from your original order date). Exchanges after the first 30 days from your original purchase date only apply to specifically marked items.

Battery defects do not include normal internal battery wear/use, declining capacity, increasing internal resistance, elevated self-discharge, and premature voltage cut-off on discharge. We may exchange your battery to you during the warrantied period only if, after fully testing your battery by charging your battery in a compatible device while plugged into a wall electrical outlet (NOT in a car or by trickle-charging from your computer), the device cannot remain "ON" for at least 5 minutes after bootup on battery power alone.

To request an exchange, please read and comply with the following instructions and requirements.

If the product included a 1 year warranty, then your exchange period begins on your original purchase date and ends 365 days from the original purchase date. This means that we will accept your return for exchange only if your return is postmarked/shipped within 30 days from your original purchase date, or 365 days from the original purchase if your product carries a 1 Year Warranty. All order return claims that have been expired will be denied an exchange whether or not you have obtained an RMA #. Expired means to be 31 or more days from your original order date, or 366 days from your original order date if your product carries a 1 Year Warranty.

Important: Due to the installation requirements of the iPod Nano battery, Tungsten E battery, and the Palm V/VX battery (i.e. soldering, twisting/cutting wires, heating), we will accept returns for such batteries ONLY if the original bubble wrap around the battery has not been opened, torn, broken, or tampered with.

STEP 2 - SEND THE BATTERY TO US: Once you receive your RMA#, you may mail the product back to us. IMPORTANT: YOUR RETURN/RMA# SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED AND PROCESSED BY BATTERYSHIP IF ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:

  • The exchange period for your order has not expired. Expired means to be 31 or more days from your original order date, or 366 days from your original order date if your product carries a 1 Year Warranty. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Your returned product must be postmarked/shipped within 30 days from the date of your original order with us, or 365 days from the original purchase if your product carries a 1 Year Warranty. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Order/Product must be returned in the original condition that you received it.
  • WRONG ORDERS: Batteries that have been opened, original battery bubble wrap torn or battery bubble wrap seal/disclaimer tampered with, will NOT be accepted for exchange for a different battery type since we cannot restock opened or used batteries. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Product must be returned in/with all original packaging. If original packaging was not retained for a defective product return, then product must be shipped in a sturdy, crush resistant BOX (NOT a UPS, FedEx, US Mail, or other envelope) with bubble wrap or similar cushioning around the battery itself. Battery must be bubble wrapped separately from tools (if tools are returned). NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • You must ship the item to the following address using a commercial carrier (US Postal Service, UPS, Fedex, or DHL):

STEP 3 - EXCHANGE: Once you have successfully completed Steps 1 and 2 Batteryship will issue you an exchange. All shipping fees to ship your product back to us are your responsibility alone. For exchanges of defective batteries only, BatteryShip will pay for shipping of the replacement part back to you once Step 2 is completed. For non-defective exchanges (i.e. wrong orders) and exchanges under our optional 1 Year Replacement Plan, you are responsible for all shipping fees. It generally takes 3-5 business days to complete an exchange once we have your original product-order. In addition to the standard exchange option explained above we also offer a Speedy exchange (where you order another battery to be shipped to you first and then get a refund upon returning the first battery later). Important instructions and details for these exchange options will be explained in our email response to your exchange request.

Other Important Customer Warranty and Product Sales Terms

  • Please inspect all packages carefully upon receipt.
  • Please keep all packaging materials, including interior and exterior containers.
  • For UPS deliveries only – if damaged on arrival, immediately notify the carrier at 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877)
  • Please do not return merchandise to BatteryShip if it was damaged or broken upon arrival. Notify the shipper immediately. The shipper may request to see the condition of the package as it arrived at the delivery site.
  • If you refuse shipment of an order you placed, you will be charged $15 refused shipment fee. In addition, you will be charged all original shipping, handling, and return postage charges. Furthermore, you will be charged a restocking fee equal to either 15% of the purchase price or $15, which ever is greater.
  • International customers are responsible for any and all custom fees charged by their country.
  • You may return bundle purchases. If you want to return an individual item you purchased as part of a bundle package, you may return that item separately. Please note: In some cases a bundle discount has been applied to each item. You will be refunded the discounted price, which may differ from the price if you purchased it individually. Returns are normally processed within 5-7 business days. We appreciate your patience.
