Return Policy & Instructions

Although we strive to offer you the best product, price, and service, we recognize that sometimes you will need to return your product to us. We have made our return policy as simple as possible so that resolving your return claim can be quick and easy (specifically marked products cannot be returned).

Please begin by obtaining a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #) using the links below. RMA numbers allow us to accurately assess your return request and provide you with a fast and complete service solution.

BatteryShip offers two types of returns. For details on either one, please make a selection:

  1. 30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee;
  2. Product Exchange (defective products and wrong orders only)

30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Refund

Your satisfaction is important to us and to that end Batteryship offers you a 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period beginning on your order's ship date on all your purchases with us (specifically marked products excluded). If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase with us simply return your order/product to us by following the steps below within 30 days of your order's ship date for a full refund (if non-defective then less a 15% cancellation fee and less any/all shipping fees; specifically marked products excluded). Products that have been torn, scratched, altered, and in any way damaged will be deemed "consumed" by Customer and therefore we hereby negate and void all refunds on "consumed" products. To claim your 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund please read and comply with the following instructions.

STEP 1 - GET A RMA # FOR MONEY BACK: You must request a return merchandise authorization number (RMA #) before sending your order/product to us in order to receive a refund for your return. If you do not get a RMA# prior to sending us your order/product to us then we will not process your return or refund your money. To get a RMA # for money back (i.e. to request a return), click here.

Important : The 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period begins on the day your order ships and ends 30 days from the ship date. This means that we will accept your return for refund only if your return is postmarked/shipped within 30 days from your order's ship date. All order return claims that have expired will be denied a refund whether or not you have obtained an RMA #. Expired means to be 31 or more days from your order's ship date.

STEP 2 - SEND THE ITEM TO US: Once you receive your RMA#, you may send the product back to us. IMPORTANT: YOUR RETURN/RMA# SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED AND PROCESSED BY BATTERYSHIP IF ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:

  • The 30 day Money Back Satisfaction Refund period date has not expired (expired means to be 31 or more days from your order's ship date).
  • Your returned product must be postmarked/shipped within 30 days from the date your order shipped.
  • Order/Product must be in the original condition that you received it. Products that have been torn, scratched, altered, and in any way damaged will be deemed "consumed" by Customer and therefore we hereby negate and void all refunds on "consumed" products. Item and all originally shipped tools must be returned unless otherwise specified by our staff.
  • If the original box that we shipped your order to you in was destroyed or not retained, then your return must be shipped in a sturdy, crush resistant BOX (NOT an envelope) with bubble wrap, packing peanuts or other cushioning around the item to prevent the item from bouncing around during shipping.
    Please return in a box, not an envelope.
    Please use a box. Inside the box, please include the product and product package. Use bubblewrap, newspaper, packing peanuts, or other filling to prevent the item from bouncing around in the shipping box. Items returned damaged CANNOT be refunded.

  • All non-defective merchandise returned within the first 30 days of the order's ship date will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the purchase price of the product. The cancellation fees do not apply to product exchanges or defective products.
  • Original shipping, handling, and return postage charges shall not be refunded.
  • LITHIUM ION AND LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY MAILING/SHIPPING RULES: The following federal mailing/shipping rules apply to lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries only (no special rules for NICD, NIMH). The US Postal Service allows you to mail domestically (within USA, not internationally) up to 2 lithium ion/polymer batteries together in one box via air or ground service (must be a sturdy box, and inside the box each battery must have its own separate sturdy box or inner packaging). For mail, the address side of the label or underneath (or on same side of box as label) must state "Package Contains Lithium-ion Batteries (no lithium metal)". You DO NOT have to specify surface only, or ground transport only for the the batteries we currently sell when only 2 or less lithium ion/polymer batteries are being shipped. In addition, you must have a caution sticker/marking AND a removable lithium safety document (both of which are already on the box we shipped the lithium ion/polymer batteries to you in originally. For more than 2 lithium ion/polymer batteries, you can split the shipment into multiple separate mailpieces/boxes (2 batteries per mailpiece/box) or use UPS/FedEx Ground to ship up to 66lbs worth in one box (same caution sticker AND removable lithium safety document still required). For assistance with this or if you did not retain the caution sticker or removable safety document from the original shipment, please call us at 307-460-4549.
  • BatteryShip must certify that you have complied with and completed the above requirements.

STEP 3 - REFUNDS: Once you have successfully complete steps 1 and 2, Batteryship will issue a refund back (less a 15% cancellation fee, if applicable, and less original shipping fees) to the same credit/debit card you used at the time of purchase with us. Refunds to your credit/debit card are usually completed within 3-7 business days of receiving your returned item. Once we process the refund to your credit/debit card, we will email you confirmation at the email address you used when you ordered.

Product Exchange
(defective products and wrong orders only)

Your satisfaction is important to us and to that end Batteryship offers exchanges in the case that the product is defective or you placed the wrong order (wrong order exchanges shall only be accepted during the first 30 days from your order's ship date). Exchanges after the first 30 days from your order's ship date only apply to specifically marked items which include a 1 year warranty.

WHAT IF MY ITEM IS DEFECTIVE?

We may exchange your item during the warrantied period if the item is defective. In the case of a battery, that means after fully and properly charging your battery in a 100% compatible charger, the device cannot remain "ON" for a certain amount of time specified for your device type by our manufacturer's engineers. Rechargeable batteries are consumable products. Warranty coverage on rechargeable batteries is limited to not being able to hold a charge (will not charge). Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge/discharge cycles, between 300 to 1000 cycles depending on the type, application, and the individual's usage pattern. The capacity (available usage time or runtime) of rechargeable batteries reduces each time a battery goes through the charging and discharging cycle. Due to these reasons, if a rechargeable battery is not able to reach its full (original) capacity, that condition can be considered as normal wear and tear (depending on the level of diminished capacity), and therefore may not be covered under this warranty. If you are having ANY problem with your item or battery, we encourage you to contact us or complete the exchange request form so we can help you solve the problem and/or replace it for you if it is defective and under warranty.

To request an exchange, please read and comply with the following instructions and requirements.

Important: Due to the installation requirements of the iPod Nano battery, Tungsten E battery, and the Palm V/VX battery (i.e. soldering, twisting/cutting wires, heating), we will accept returns for such batteries ONLY if the battery is returned in original packaging and in original condition.

STEP 3 - EXCHANGE: Once you have successfully completed Steps 1 and 2 Batteryship will issue you an exchange. All shipping fees to ship your product back to us are your responsibility. For exchanges of defective batteries, BatteryShip will pay for shipping of the replacement part back to you once Step 2 is completed. For non-defective exchanges (i.e. wrong orders), you are responsible for all shipping fees. It generally takes 3-7 business days to complete an exchange once we have your original product-order. In addition to the standard exchange option explained above we also offer a Speedy exchange (where you order another item to be shipped to you first and then get a refund upon returning the first item later). Important instructions and details for these exchange options will be explained in our email response to your exchange request.

Other Important Customer Warranty and Product Sales Terms

  • Please inspect all packages carefully upon receipt.
  • Please keep all packaging materials, including interior and exterior containers.
  • For UPS deliveries only – if damaged on arrival, immediately notify the carrier at 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877)
  • Please do not return merchandise to BatteryShip if it was damaged or broken upon arrival. Notify the shipper immediately. The shipper may request to see the condition of the package as it arrived at the delivery site.
  • If you refuse shipment of an order you placed, you will be charged a refused shipment fee equal to $15 or 15% of the purchase, whichever is greater. In addition, you will be charged all original shipping, handling, and return postage charges.
  • International customers are responsible for any and all custom fees charged by their country.
  • You may return bundle purchases. If you want to return an individual item you purchased as part of a bundle package, you may return that item separately. Please note: In some cases a bundle discount has been applied to each item. You will be refunded the discounted price, which may differ from the price if you purchased it individually. Returns are normally processed within 3-7 business days. We appreciate your patience.
