How to release UPS from a secure signed delivery: Releasing UPS from a secure signed delivery does not guarantee UPS will leave the package at your location without signature. However, if the driver deems it safe enough and appropriate, he may accept your written and signed statement instead of your signature upon delivery. Your written and signed statement should be taped on your front door where deliveries are normally made and include a statement of waiver of signed delivery along with your printed name and signature and date. The statement of waiver of signed delivery could be something like this: "ATTENTION UPS: PLEASE LEAVE MY NEXT DAY AIR PACKAGE HERE TODAY IN FRONT OF THIS DOOR WITHOUT REQUIRING MY SIGNATURE. I ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY."
